The S.I.G.I.T Video Black Amplifier

The S.I.G.I.T or The Super Insurgent Group of Intemperance Talent are an Indonesian rock band based in Bandung, Indonesia. They've been described as Garage Rock band and frequently compared to Jet, Wolfmother and The Datsuns.

1994-2002

Period of formation. In this period, they met each other, played and hung up together, fought each other, rehearsed a lot, and wrote their song.

2002-2004


In 2004, The S.I.G.I.T. signed to Spills Records and released their self titled debut mini album (EP) and performed many bar gigs and venue. Their first single, Soul Sister soon became a local radio hits in Bandung and Jakarta, made reputated on MTV Trax Magazine as "The Hottest Rock N Roll Band".
By contributing on movie soundtrack for Catatan Akhir Sekolah (CAS), their fanbase grow rapidly. Did I Ask Your Opinion, which appeared as OST on former movie, finally became their first single to be broadcasted on MTV Indonesia.
After leaving Spills Records, they begun to spread their stage performance to bigger venue and region...

2005

Their name appeared on NME's Stereo (30 July) "The S.I.G.I.T. - Black Amplifier. Scorching, gonzo Zep Rock from our hot new Indonesian Friend"

2006

Signed to FFWD and released "Visible Idea of Perfection" in December under FFWD's sister label FFCUTS

2007

Signed to Australian Caveman! and released "Visible.." which distributed by Reverberation. They toured Australia in June to coincide the release date.

2009

Appearing at SXSW 2009 in Austin Texas . Toured California and Hong Kong . Released "Hertz Dyslexia" on June.

Australian Tour


In 2007, an Australian rock band Dallas Crane was inviting The S.I.G.I.T. to join their Austrlaian tour as an opening act band. The S.I.G.I.T agree that invitation and become known by Australian people in indie music scene.

Fans

The S.I.G.I.T has gained die hard fans, not only in Indonesia, also in Australia, USA, who call them selves The Insurgent Army. Many of Insurgent Army shows their loyalty to The S.I.G.I.T in unique ways.
